The cabling from the comms room is routed to the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) or Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) depending on the distance to the Distribution Frames Zones where they are Horizontally Cross Connected (HCC) to the various outlets leading to the end devices. A solution with simplicity in mind coupled with detailed infrastructure documentation, adding and removing devices or cables isn’t that of a problem as the design caters for that.
